How to choose a gaming laptop Under 70K in India?

Gaming laptops come with a variety of hardware configurations, and it’s important to choose one that suits your needs. If you’re going to be playing games that require high-resolution graphics and fast processing speeds, then you may want to consider getting something with more powerful components.

Choosing a good gaming laptop is not an easy task. There are many things to consider like the processor, RAM, graphics card and other features. So, let’s start with the basics

  • Keep in mind that different gamers have different needs. First-person shooter (FPS) gamers will need more than someone who only plays social or puzzle games
  • Don’t forget about battery life! If you’re going to be away from an outlet while you game, make sure you can still get long hours of playtime from your computer.
  • Don’t forget to check out the graphics card! This is one component that shouldn’t be skimped on; a better graphics card will result in better gaming performance.
  • Pay attention to how many fans there are in the laptop, too—the more fans it has, the longer it will take for the computer’s internal temperature to rise in hot weather—and sometimes even in regular weather!
  • Try to avoid buying laptops with integrated graphics cards—those built-in graphics cards aren’t powerful enough for gaming and will drain battery life quickly.

The first step in choosing a gaming laptop is to determine the games you will play on it. If you want to play games like “League of Legends,” which requires a lot of CPU performance, or “Civilization V,” which requires a lot of video card performance, then you need to get a high-end laptop. If you want to play games like “Counter-Strike: Global Offensive” online or “World of Tanks” online, which requires little CPU or video card performance, then you can get away with a less powerful gaming laptop. The important thing is to stick with one game or a few games that you know well when choosing your laptop—you don’t want to buy a top-of-the line laptop for one game and then find out that the GPU for that game is much less demanding than you thought it would be.

In addition to the kind of games you want to play, there are other factors involved in getting a good gaming laptop. For example, if you plan on streaming your gameplay, having a good graphics card will help boost the quality and reliability of your livestream.

If you’re looking for a portable gaming rig, you might find that a lightweight machine will sacrifice some performance, but be easier to carry around with you. And if you’re looking for a cheap gaming rig, there are plenty of options available–but you’ll have to sacrifice power and control in order to save money. As long as you know what’s important to you, though—and can make decisions based on those criteria rather than just price or brand loyalty—you should find that finding a good gaming laptop is much easier than it seems.

For those who want to play a variety of games, graphical power is important, but the CPU is equally (if not more) important. The graphics processing unit (or GPU) is what handles all of your computer’s graphics processing. For example, if you’re playing an action game, your GPU will be responsible for generating each frame of animation to display on your computer screen. Most GPUs have at least 1GB of memory on board, which is generally enough for gaming purposes. You can always add more RAM later on down the road, so don’t bank on upgrading that element of your system.

As for the CPU, it comes down to personal preference and how much money you’re willing to spend. You’ll likely need at least 4GB of memory in order to ensure smooth operation when playing many games simultaneously and handling other tasks like streaming or recording video footage. Some hardcore gamers report needing as much as 16GB of memory in their systems—although 8GB is generally enough if you only

If you’re looking for longevity, then you’ll want to consider the CPU and the GPU, which dictate how long the computer will last. If you’re looking for portability, then the size and weight of the computer will factor in; larger 15-inch laptops with powerful graphics cards aren’t exactly ideal on-the-go machines. And if you’re looking for affordability, then you’ll need to take into account how much RAM is included in your machine, as well as its storage space.

The CPU matters more than anything else in a gaming laptop. That’s because the CPU (processor) handles all of the “heavy lifting” when it comes to gaming — things like AI, physics and graphics processing. The CPU is also responsible for managing system memory, which is why we recommend getting at least 8GB of RAM as part of your PC build or upgrade.

GPUs (graphics processing units) are designed to process graphics data from 3D scenes in real-time. They’re also used for video editing and other tasks that require high-speed calculations with high accuracy. In general, a higher number of cores and higher clock speeds will yield better results here than they would on a desktop computer with a single GPU.

Processor:

You should go for a quad-core processor or better. The best option is to go for an Intel Core i7 as it provides one of the best performance in this range. If you’re looking for a budget gaming laptop then you could get an Intel Core i5 processor which will be sufficient for most games but don’t expect it to run any high-end game with ease. You can also look at AMD processors.

This is one of the most important factors in choosing a laptop. The processor determines how fast your system will run and how well it will respond to commands. For example, if you’re playing a game with high-end graphics and complex animations, like Overwatch or Fortnite, you need a processor that can handle all that data without slowing down. In addition to being fast, processors have multiple cores, which means they can process multiple requests at once. If possible, look for a multi-core processor with at least four cores.

Memory:

For gaming laptops, 8GB RAM is sufficient but we recommend that if you’re planning on playing heavy games then go for at least 16GB RAM so that there’s enough memory for multitasking and running multiple applications at once without affecting your gaming experience.

When you’re shopping for a gaming laptop, one of the first specs that will catch your eye is the memory. Just the word is enough to get your heart racing—after all, modern games can be really demanding, and there’s nothing worse than finding out that the machine you bought last minute can’t handle your favorite new titles.

You might think that paying a little more for a laptop with a lot of video memory would help you avoid this issue, but in reality, what you should be looking for is RAM specifically. As with any other computer, if you have too little memory, your system simply won’t have enough space to run the programs you need it to run—and gaming is no different.

The big difference between RAM (random access memory) and video memory is that RAM can be used by whatever program needs it most at any given moment (which games often do), whereas video memory is only helpful if the game itself has been programmed to use it. That means that even if a game has been written to recognize more than its stock amount of RAM, it can still cause crashes if it’s not using video memory properly—but because RAM handles such a complex array of tasks on its own, chances are good that it will make room when needed.

Theoretically, your gaming laptop should be able to handle any game out there, but if you want to play the latest games at their highest settings, you’ll need some serious power. Laptops with good graphics processors tend to come equipped with more than enough memory—at least 8GB or 16GB RAM and some even 32GB. If a laptop has just 2 or 4 gigabytes of memory, it won’t be able to perform well on new games and might also struggle with multitasking in general.

For serious gamers it’s best to stick with the highest amount of memory available in order to prevent stuttering and other performance issues. If your budget allows for it, 8GB is good enough for mid-tier games and 16GB will do the trick in most cases—but if you find yourself wishing for additional performance down the line, upgrading your laptop’s memory may be easier than you think. Some laptops have access panels on their underside that allow users to upgrade their RAM without having to remove the entire computer from its base. By removing this panel you can slide new RAM into place more easily than if you were trying to install it from above.

Graphics Card:

This is where most people make mistakes when buying laptops because they focus more on the processor than anything else which isn’t wrong but they should also make sure that they get a powerful graphics card as well because it’s what makes your laptop run games smoothly and without lag.

Game developers design their games with a certain graphics card performance in mind, so having a good graphics card will allow you to play the latest games at the highest settings possible.

The two biggest manufacturers of graphics cards are AMD and Nvidia. While these companies compete with each other in the consumer market, they both sell cards that are good for gaming laptops.

In general, AMD graphics cards tend to be cheaper than Nvidia graphics cards, but they also tend to be less powerful. On the other hand, Nvidia graphics cards tend to be more expensive but they also tend to be leagues faster than their AMD counterparts.

The graphics card decides how good your laptop will be at running games. The higher the graphics card is in terms of overall performance, the better your gaming experience will be. Higher-end laptops usually have more than one graphics card, and they can be combined with other functions like Optimus Technology which allows the system to choose between the high-performance dedicated graphics card and the integrated graphics processor depending on the application being run.

The most recent generation of Nvidia graphics cards is called Turing. Turing is their first architecture that introduces ray-tracing, which is a lot like global illumination (GI), except instead of pre-calculating an image based on GI, ray tracing uses light sources as inputs to calculate how light bounces around the scene. Ray tracing could allow for some truly realistic lighting effects without having to render scenes in full detail.

Turing also has a new AI-based anti-aliasing called DLSS which can produce quality results similar to TAA, but at higher performance. There’s also an implementation of RTX called Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS) which runs at half the resolution of normal rendering in order to achieve 4K quality in real-time.

Weight and size:

How much do you want to carry around with you? If you plan on playing games on the go, then weight is going to be a major factor in your choice of laptop. You don’t want something that’s too heavy or bulky for day-to-day use, but if you’re willing to sacrifice portability for performance, then go ahead and splurge on a heavier machine.

Screen size

This also depends on how much you plan on using your laptop away from home — if all your gaming will be done from the comfort of your own couch then screen size might not matter as much. But if you’re looking at taking it outside or travelling often, then go for larger screens with higher resolutions.

When choosing a laptop for playing games, the first thing to consider is the screen size. Gaming laptops come in all sizes, from 12-inch models suitable for powerful and light laptops to 17-inch monsters that weigh over 10 pounds. The screen size you choose will affect your ability to enjoy and play games on your gaming laptop.

The most important consideration when choosing a screen size is the resolution of the graphics card. Most laptops use integrated graphics cards that are built into the system’s motherboard, so they aren’t upgradable. If you get a laptop with a dedicated graphics card, it can be removed and replaced with another more powerful card. The smallest screens have a maximum resolution of 1,366 by 768 pixels, and if you want a decent gaming experience on your laptop, the minimum resolution you should aim for is 1,920 by 1,080 pixels—anything less than this will result in poor video quality.

It’s not just about having a big picture, it’s about being able to see all of the small details. This includes being able to see the enemy’s health bar or the ammunition count when playing an FPS, or seeing the numbers roll by as you win that jackpot in a casino game. If you’ve ever played games on a netbook or tablet, you probably already know what I’m talking about—it can be hard to see things clearly because the screen is so small and far away. On gaming laptops, screen size is usually measured diagonally in inches (though sometimes millimeters are used instead), and this measurement is referred to as the display. The most common size for gaming laptops is 15″ but there are also many 17″ models out there.

If you want to use your gaming laptop on your lap—and some gamers do—then look for a model with a 15- or 17-inch screen. A smaller laptop is also easier to carry around everywhere, but if you plan to take it to places where it might get bumped or knocked over frequently, larger screens are less likely to suffer damage

Ports

Most modern laptops come with USB Type C ports which are nice because they can be used for charging as well as data transfer (some might still have older USB 3.0 ports).

Top Brands

It can be hard to keep track of all the new brands entering the gaming laptop market, but with some research, patience and luck you’ll find one that suits your needs. The most popular brands are Alienware, MSI and Dell. These companies have been producing high-end laptops for years and have a wealth of experience and expertise in this area. Of course there are also generic brands like Eurocom and Clevo that can produce equally good machines, but they will cost you less. You should also consider whether or not you need a 17″ screen or if something smaller would suffice. The best way to narrow down your search is to decide which specifications are important for you and then find a brand whose laptops match them as closely as possible.

While knowing that a gaming laptop is the best option for you might be enough to convince you to buy one, it’s hard to make such an expensive purchase without knowing what brands are worth looking into. If a friend tells you that brand X is great, but they’ve never owned it themselves or heard anything about it from anyone else, it may not be enough to go on. If you’re already familiar with the major brands in laptops, the easiest way to narrow down your search is by price range and screen size. For example, if you’re looking for something affordable that has a screen of around 15 inches and doesn’t weigh too much, then you’ll have major brands to choose from: HP, Acer, Asus, Dell and Lenovo. From there, there are differences in processor power and other features that will help you make your choice.

Response time and Refresh Rate

Response time and Refresh Rate are two important specs that you should consider when you buy a laptop for gaming. While there are a few more, these two are the most important, so we’ll go over them in detail.

The response time of a monitor refers to how quickly the pixels can change from one color to another. Response time is measured in milliseconds (ms). Lower is better for gaming because the input lag for each subsequent command is reduced. Some games require very low latency—games like first-person shooters and real-time strategy games where split-second decisions can mean the difference between victory and defeat.

A low refresh rate refers to how many times per second the screen can refresh with new data. Refreshing too few times can cause motion to appear choppy on the screen, while refreshing too frequently will create a flickering effect on the screen, which creates eye strain and fatigue.

When choosing a computer for gaming, it’s important to get one with both a fast response time and a high refresh rate. Most recent laptops come with LCD screens, which have a glossy finish that reflects light from any external light sources. This reflection creates what’s called “backlight bleed,” which causes dark scenes to lose detail and thus appear dark gray rather than black.

The faster a monitor can change colors, the less likely you are to see ghosting or blurring in fast-paced games like first-person shooters or real-time strategy games. A fast response time is especially important when playing games with lots of motion, such as racing games or fighting games.

Fast response times usually mean higher display refresh rates as well. Refresh rates refer to the number of times per second that your video card updates your screen. High refresh rates mean smoother gameplay, because the updates are happening quickly enough that you’re not seeing any noticeable breaks between frames. It also means fewer images being dropped—because there is less time between frames, you won’t run into issues where one frame shows part of a character running toward you but the next frame shows them halfway across the screen because they moved too far to be rendered properly on screen.

For gamers, the most important specification of a monitor is its response time. Response time is measured in milliseconds (ms). The lower the number of milliseconds, the faster the reaction time, and therefore the clearer the picture. A response time of 2 ms can be considered to be lightning-fast.

Response times below 2 ms are achieved through overdrive (also called adaptive-refresh rate technology). This technology slightly increases the refresh rate for certain pixels. Because of this, however, it causes some image artifacts. Therefore, manufacturers don’t use overdrive technology with every monitor, as it would lead to a decline in image quality if done incorrectly.

Overdrive is also difficult to master: depending on the model and settings used, overdriven monitors can result in blurry images or ghosting effects (in which previous images appear on-screen after new ones have been displayed). This makes it necessary to test multiple models before deciding on one.

However, with a little practice you’ll learn which models are better suited for gaming than others. For instance, TN panels are known for their fast response times but poor viewing angles and color reproduction. IPS panels have very good viewing angles and rich colors, but a slightly slower response time than TN panels.

Cooling

When choosing a gaming laptop, the most important thing is to make sure it has a good cooling system. The best way to do this is to look at the device’s performance under load.

A notebook may be able to run games at high settings while it’s idle or while it’s just performing basic tasks, but when it’s running full-tilt, the processor and graphics card are likely to get up toward the device’s maximum thermal output. If there isn’t adequate cooling in place for those components, their performance may be negatively impacted.

There are a few ways to go about determining how well a laptop will perform when it comes under load. You can look up its specifications on independent review sites like CNET or Engadget, which usually include benchmarks of the machine being tested. You can also read about other people’s experiences with specific laptops on sites like Amazon or Newegg, where you’ll see things like “this computer gets really hot” or “the fans really start screeching when I turn up the brightness,” which are good indicators that you should move along.

Keyboard

The first thing you should be concerned with when buying a gaming laptop is the keyboard features. Here are some of the most important features you should look for:

  1. Anti-Ghosting Keys – These keys ensure that multiple keystrokes are recognized by the system, even if you are pressing several keys at the same time. This ensures that you can deliver commands faster and more efficiently.
  2. Backlit Keys – It is easier to play late into the night when you can see your keyboard’s keystrokes. A backlit keyboard will allow you to play without looking down at your keyboard and without sacrificing visibility of the keys during the day.
  3. Dedicated Macro Keys – If you often find yourself in situations where you need to execute complex commands, this feature will be extremely useful. With a dedicated macro key, you can create more complicated commands and then execute them with a single touch. This can improve your efficiency and overall effectiveness in game scenarios.
  4. N-Key Rollover– While most keyboards have this feature, it is important than ever on a gaming laptop since it allows for multiple keystrokes to be registered even when multiple keys are being pressed at once, instead of just a single keystroke per each key.
